Tehran - Iran's foreign trade exceeded $35.817 billion over the past five months of the Iranian year of 1395 (started on March 20), Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran said on Tuesday.

Public Relations Department of the Customs Administration Organization said that in the first five months of this year, non-oil exports rose by 10.22 percent to $19.108 billion compared to the figure in the same period the year before.

The exports earnings stood at 17.336 billion dollars over the past five months.

Iran imported $16.709 billion worth goods in the five-month period, down by 2.85 percent compared to the imports in the corresponding period the year before.

China was major purchaser of Iranian goods and in the period under study, Iran exported non-oil goods worth $3.405 billion, up by 2.69 percent.
