DUBAI, Aug 16 (Reuters) - Gulf stock markets look set to consolidate on Wednesday in the absence of positive factors, though Dubai's index has dropped near minor technical support, which could trigger a modest rebound.

International equity prices barely moved overnight while Brent crude oil remains around $51 a barrel.

Dubai's index fell 0.2 percent to 3,580 points on Tuesday, near chart support at the mid-July low of 3,558 points.
