Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's upcoming visit to India early September is a strategic move to build a strong joint cooperation between both Cairo and New Delhi notably in technology sector.

According to Mohamed El-Orabi, head of foreign affairs committee at the Egyptian parliament, Egypt enjoys strong relations with countries of the Association of South East Asian Nations that includes India, China, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, and South Korea which in turn would positively affect Cairo's economic growth.

Orabi told Sada Elbalad website that Egypt aims to benefit from India's huge expertise in areas of technological industries.

Sisi's visit is scheduled next Thursday following an invitation from India's President Pranab Kumar Mukherjee. This is the second official visit for the Egyptian president to India.
