BEIJING, Sept 23 (Reuters) - China has agreed to establish a direct trading pair between its yuan currency and the Saudi Arabian riyal, the China foreign exchange trading platform operator said on Friday.

China will also establish a direct trading pair between the yuan and United Arab Emirates' dirham, the China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS) said in an online statement.

Both trading pairs will be effective from September 26, according to the statement.
