UAE-based company has produced, assembled and distributed 3D printed face shields for Dubai Health Authority to protect the UAE's frontline medical workers.

The company, in5, has also released an inspirational video revealing the 3D printed face shields its engineering team along with some of its startups produced.

The behind-the-scenes video shows in5 engineers working alongside entrepreneurs, using innovative manufacturing methods utilising in5's state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to produce 3D printed personal protective equipment inscribed with the hashtag #UAEHeroes.

It follows them to Rashid Hospital where doctors and nurses unbox the personal protective equipment. Thousands of units will eventually be made for healthcare authorities as part of ongoing efforts to combat Covid-19.

The emotive video demonstrates how the creative co-working spaces, prototyping laboratories, 3D printers, recording studios and state-of-the-art infrastructure across in5's three innovation centres have enabled startups to take their ideas from concept to prototype to reality.
